How about we take the affiliate buttons and stick them in the empty space under the music player? Would free up some clutter on the forums.

The problem with that is that it will most likely clutter up some things on the side, extending the forum past it's need.
I think putting it up in the homepage part is more prudent.

Well, as long as the styling is set to wordwrap, it shouldn't extend the page. It should just make a neat column along side the page.
I'm not 100% sure how forumotion boards work, but if they're anything like Invisionfree or Zetaboards, the footer is also an option. Anything that gets the buttons out of the way of the main board itself.

Forumotion has muuuch less maneuverability than InvisionFree or Zeta. Sadly.
